Kyle Busch qualifies on the pole for NHMS, Hamlin fastest in morning practice.

NASCAR fans favorite villain, Kurt Busch took the pole for Sunday's Lenox 301 at Loudon. Busch's speed of 133.417 circled the Magic Mile in 28.548 seconds. Rowdy edged Kasey Kahne, at 133.403, Denny Hamlin, at 133.399, and Martin Truex at 133.338.

Earlier in the week, Busch spoke about the short track tendencies of NHMS. "Loudon is definitely a short track race. It's a lot like Phoenix. You have some good speed down the straighaway, but definitely a lot of braking getting through the tight, paperclip shaped corners." 

Sprint Cup teams took the to the speedway this morning for practice, before giving way to the Nationwide teams qualifying session. Denny Hamlin was fastest in the morning practice session at 131.478, followed by Jeff Gordon, Martin Truex Jr., Aric Amirola and Clint Bowyer. The Sprint Cup drivers have final "happy hour" practice at 11:20 this morning.

Nationwide FW Webb 200: 3:30pm
Global Rally Cross: 7pm

Sprint Cup Lenox 301: 1:00pm
